MVP Mentality Services
Different sports place different demands on the athletes, as a result, treatment is provided on a one on one basis. Treatment is tailored to the specific needs of the athlete based on a comprehensive evaluation. Optimal performance training is provided through the use of neurofeedback, which is an evidence based treatment that results in the ability to stay “in the zone” during athletic performance. Furthermore, it corrects and strengthens areas of weakness and virtually eliminates distractions, both internal and external, from the game.
• Enhance overall athletic performance
• Overcome self doubt
• Develop inner strength and confidence
• Increase attention, concentration, and agility
• Stay “in the zone”
• Screen out distractions
• Decrease worry and performance anxiety
Neurofeeback is helping athletes gain the competitive edge over their opponents, allowing athletes to reach optimal mental and physical states necessary to be successful on the field. Neurofeedback training in an investment in your career- in yourself!
In addition to neurofeedback, individual performance based coaching is also provided to athletes to address issues and problems that may be interfering with their life both on and off the field. Individual treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each athlete. Upon the completion of a diagnostic interview, the psychologist will develop a course of action based on the obstacles preventing the athlete from achieving optimal performance.
Individual performance focused coaching does not only address problems on the field; if there are factors in the athlete's life that are crossing over from personal life to the athletic arena, treatment can help resolve the issues so the athlete can focus his/her attention where it needs to be while playing/performing.
It is important to note that not all individual coaching needs to focus on problems. An athlete can seek out services to help enhance their athletic performance by learning skills and techniques designed to help athletes excel in their sport.
Assessments are also conducted to help athletes who are finishing their athletic careers to identify other professional careers that they have the skill to excel. Assessment can help give guidance and a new found sense of self by highlighting strengths that the athlete already acquires.
Group training sessions can also be provided in order to help athletes learn sports psychology tips and techniques to improve their performance. Sessions can customized to the specific needs of the group as a whole as dictated by the coach and/or head of the team- for example, interview skills that can help during the NFL combine.
Group sessions can be scheduled at the sports facility to help make the training accessible to all participating members of the team.
